Oral cancer is one of the least understood conditions amongst the general public and yet, each day, an average of three Australians will be diagnosed with it.

Some causes of the disease you might expect but some you’ll be surprised by. You don’t have to be a smoker. You don’t even have to live an unhealthy lifestyle to be at risk.

This Dental Health Week we want to give you a better understanding of oral cancer and get you talking to your friends and family about its causes and the simple checks that can save lives. Just the simple act of emailing or talking to the people around you to raise awareness could mean that you save a life.

In addition to this section on oral diseases, you’ll also find lots of useful information on general oral health for adults, children and babies to help keep your dental health regime on track.
